Welcome to the adventure "The hunt for Roswinde"!

This adventure is based on the comic by Gern Huijberts and Pascal Huybers. Reading the comic, which can be viewed at our homepage, is almost essential for solving the adventure. It was entirely written in batchfiles using only standard DOS commands and text files.

Roswinde should run on MS-DOS version 3.1 or higher, even in the Windows-95 DOS box.

Since all commands are issued at the DOS-prompt, ordinary DOS-commands can be used during play. Keying errors or unknown commands will produce "Bad command or file name".

Roswinde must be started with the command ROSWINDE and ended with EXIT.

Once started, commands can be issued to Ferdinand, the main figure in this adventure. All the possible commands can be seen by using DIR/W.

Examples:
LOOK (abbreviated L) shows where Ferdinand is and what objects are available.
NORTH or GO TO THE NORTH or N means: Go north.
OPEN DOOR or MAKE THE DOOR OPEN, etc...

Unfortunately, combining commands with the word "AND" is not possible, because that would complicate and slow down the game too much.

Finally some hints:
The HELP command can sometimes help.
DOSKEY and SMARTDRV are useful tools.
Don't forget to read the comic!
